Query parameters after the slug are ignored. Private/unlisted tracks that the public API will not describe will fail at metadata time.

Why the file is MP3, not WAV
SoundCloud does not send the uploader’s original WAV to every listener. What you hear is a compressed copy. MusicFromSpoti saves that copy as MP3 at the bitrate you picked.
