Takedown notices

If you own copyright in a recording and believe MusicFromSpoti is used to obtain it without your permission, send a notice as described below. We will review valid notices and, where appropriate, disable access to the identified material.

What to include

US law (17 U.S.C. § 512) expects a written notice with all of the following:

Required contents of a notice

  1. Your signature

A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorised to act for them.

  2. The work

A description of the copyrighted work. If several works share a notice, a representative list is enough.

  3. The material

The MusicFromSpoti URL or the Spotify / SoundCloud track link that you want taken down, in enough detail for us to find it.

  4. How to reach you

Name, postal address, telephone number and email.

  5. Good-faith statement

A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent or the law.

  6. Accuracy statement

A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act.

Where to send it

Email: dmca@musicfromspoti.com.

Incomplete notices may be ignored. Knowingly false notices can carry legal penalties.

Counter-notice

If your material was removed and you believe that was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the same address with: your signature; identification of the material and where it was before removal; a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe the removal was a mistake; your name, address and phone; and consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or any district where MusicFromSpoti may be found if you are outside the US), plus acceptance of service of process from the original complainant.

If the original complainant does not seek a court order, access may be restored.

Repeat notices

We may block users or addresses that repeatedly infringe copyright.
